Ayonava Mukerji’s professional background reflects a progression from hands-on trade work to strategic leadership within one of Australia’s most demanding construction sectors. Starting as a carpenter, he developed a strong technical understanding of formwork systems and site operations, supported by formal training completed through the CFMEU apprenticeship program. This early experience continues to inform his practical and disciplined approach to leadership.

As his career advanced, Ayonava took on senior roles with prominent construction and formwork companies, gaining exposure to complex project environments and large, multi-disciplinary teams. His time as a part-owner of a formwork business further strengthened his capabilities in workforce management, client relations, and operational planning.
